Inspired by 'the forest poetess'

Forest of Dean Writers Collection worked with class teacher Jasmine Hall and her Year3/4 class at St Whites School Cinderford. The sessions focused on the life, times and poems of Catherine Drew who lived near the school. We looked at what she described her poems. Two in-class workshops were followed up with a visit to Dean Heritage Centre. Jasmine then worked with the class oj writing their own poems about the area today. The class put on a showcase of their findings for parents, and their poems were also put on display at Cinderford Library.
